Starting with a stop at a panoramic balcony, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the border between Albania and Montenegro – a perfect photo opportunity to kick off your day.

Your hike will lead you to one of the Balkans’ most majestic peaks, standing tall at 2,750 meters above sea level. Prepare for an exhilarating 800-meter ascent, with the journey taking around 2.5 hours. As you climb, you’ll be surrounded by sweeping views, alpine meadows, and rocky ridges, offering plenty of moments to capture nature’s beauty. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views and a sense of accomplishment. The descent, which takes about 1.5 hours, is just as scenic, with vibrant landscapes unfolding around you.

Itinerary:

• 7:00 AM – Departure from Info Point Office
  We start our adventure with a comfortable drive from the Info Point office, heading toward the breathtaking Albanian Highlands Peak.
• 7:45 AM – Panoramic Viewpoint
  After a 45-minute drive, we’ll stop at a scenic viewpoint. From here, you can capture stunning photos of the landscape and enjoy the beauty of the area, which sits along the border of Albania and Montenegro.
• 8:50 AM – Arrival at Lepushë
  We’ll drive another 45 minutes to reach Lepushë, a charming village nestled in the heart of the Alps, known for its natural beauty.
• 9:05 AM – Coffee Break
  Next, we’ll drive for a local café where a warm drink is included in the price. Relax and enjoy a short break before continuing our journey.
• 9:35 AM – Hiking to Maja e Vajushes (2 Hours)
  Our hiking adventure begins! The trek to Maja e Vajushes will take approximately 2 hours. Be sure to bring snacks and plenty of water with you. Along the way, enjoy the serene alpine surroundings as we make our way to the summit.
• 11:35 AM – Summit of Maja e Vajushes (1 Hour)
  We’ll spend 1 hour at the summit of Maja e Vajushes. Take in the panoramic views, rest, and enjoy a well-earned break in this magnificent location.
• 12:35 PM – Return Hike to Lepushë
  After enjoying the summit, we’ll begin our return hike to Lepushë. It will take us about 2 hours to get back to the village.
• 2:35 PM – Natural Pool (30 Minutes)
  Once we reach Lepushë, we’ll drive for 30 minutes to a natural pool hidden in the landscape. Spend 30 minutes here relaxing, swimming, and taking in the tranquil surroundings.
• 3:05 PM – Lunch at Local Restaurant (Optional, 1 Hour)
  Next, we’ll drive for 15 minutes to a local restaurant where you can enjoy a traditional Albanian meal (optional and not included in the price). Feel free to unwind and savor the flavors of the region. After lunch, there’s a natural pool nearby where you can continue your adventure. You’re welcome to explore and take a swim in the cool waters, surrounded by the peaceful nature of the area.
• 4:05 PM – Return to Shkodra
  After lunch, we’ll begin our return journey back to Shkodra, with a scenic 2-hour drive through the mountains. Reflect on the unforgettable experience and stunning landscapes you’ve encountered today.
